As a Qualcomm Software Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise of software systems through technical presentations in support of business development, product demonstrations, design and development of customer specific requirements, commercialization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications. • Job FunctionProvide technical support to Qualcomm customers to enable commercialization of Qualcomm solutionsServe as the primary interface for customers, including OEMs, ODMs, and distributors, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and customer satisfactionLead customer issue debugging across domains, including functional, certification, performance, stability, and applicationsCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive issue resolution and accelerate customer deliverablesDeliver technical guidance on system architecture, debugging methodologies, and best practices to customersSupport customer engagements such as technical discussions, on-site support, and product demonstrationsDevelop technical materials, including application notes, training content, and demo documentation, to enhance customer enablement • Skills / Experience3+ years of experience in WLAN/BT, audio, or mobile RF/software development and customer supportSolid understanding of Wireless RF behavior, system architecture, and troubleshooting methodologiesHands-on experience in debugging complex issues across software, RF, and system levelsExperience implementing software/firmware algorithms in C and PythonExperience developing drivers for UART, I2C, SPI, I2S and related interfacesExperience working directly with hardwareGood understanding of audio signal processing and acoustic algorithms, including ANC, ENC, cVc, etc.Experience optimizing DSP algorithms for embedded platformsGood understanding of Bluetooth Classic, Bluetooth LE, LE Audio, or related wireless audio technologiesStrong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear and actionable insightsProven analytical and problem-solving capability in customer-facing environmentsSelf-motivated, proactive, and capable of independently driving issues to closureFamiliarity with voice, music, and wearable audio products such as earbuds, headphones, speakers, or smart audio devices is highly desirable • ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary SW CE contact to support Qualcomm solutionsManage customer cases across functional domains and ensure timely resolutionDebug and resolve issues spanning software, RF, hardware interaction, system integration, and certificationDrive cross-team collaboration to resolve escalations and critical/blocking issuesProvide onsite and remote support for customer issue analysis, requirement clarification, and integration guidanceSupport pre-sales activities, external demos, and customer technical discussions to enable business opportunitiesDeliver technical training, documentation, and knowledge sharing to improve customer capability and reduce support load • Education RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
