The Fraunhofer Institute for Silicon Technology ISIT, located in Itzehoe, offers a cutting-edge research and manufacturing environment of approximately 200 employees and several local partners, featuring a state-of-the-art equipment portfolio, two cleanrooms, and approximately 700 m² of laboratory space. As a bridge between research and pre-development on the one hand and commercial application on the other, Fraunhofer ISIT is an exciting employer with innovative prospects for the future.
The »Fabrication – Research and Development« department forms the core of the technological implementation of research and development projects in microsystems technology and power electronics. The department is composed of four groups, covering the planning and creation of manufacturing instructions, the execution of MES-controlled cleanroom production, as well as the maintenance and needs-based expansion of semiconductor fabrication facilities.
The »Process Development and Manufacturing« group develops and optimizes individual manufacturing processes on industrial semiconductor equipment for the production of micromechanical and power electronic components on Si, glass, and GaN substrates in a cleanroom. This includes continuous monitoring and analysis of process quality and results. For this group, we are seeking an engaged and committed Group Leader.
