We are looking for an Embedded Systems Software Engineer to join our team developing software for our RISC-V SoC. You and your team will be responsible for the development of a bare-metal Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) for our RISC-V SoC. The HAL is used for testing and proof-of-concept applications. Porting and maintaining firmware (OpenSBI), (real-time) operating systems (Linux, Zephyr), and the bootloader will also be a part of your responsibilities. The development of a BSP (OpenEmbedded/Yocto) and porting applications for testing and benchmarking (SPEC CPU) is expected as well. Prospective team members require solid C skills and an interest in embedded / bare-metal and (RT)OS development; an understanding of CPU and memory systems (RISC-V a plus); exposure to bootloaders or RTOS (e.g. Zephyr, FreeRTOS) is welcome. Hardware debugging experience is a plus. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and first relevant experience (internships, projects) is desired. Relocation required. Currently 4 days on-site, 1 day remote. Policy may change.
