Technical Program Manager (TPM) – Security IP

THE ROLE: As a Program Manager in Security IP Team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of creative engineers and managers within and without the team coordinating and drive the execution of cutting-edge technologies and projects geared to various SOCs programs across all of AMD products. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Planning, Execution, and Tracking • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, and task plans in partnership with Security IP leadership and key stakeholders. • Monitor project progress using defined metrics, status reporting, action item tracking, and regular project reviews. • Ensure project activities, processes, and documentation are maintained in accordance with established project management frameworks and standards. • Identify, assess, and track project risks, issues, and dependencies, and coordinate mitigation plans as needed. • Support the delivery of project objectives by tracking scope, timelines, quality targets, and key deliverables. Stakeholder Communication and Alignment • Serve as a primary coordination point between Security IP and SoC teams. • Facilitate alignment across teams regarding project schedules, feature delivery, quality objectives, dependencies, and deliverables. • Represent the Security IP organization in cross-functional planning, architecture, and program review meetings. • Provide regular updates on project status, risks, milestones, and key decisions to leadership and stakeholders. • Escalate project issues and risks when appropriate to support timely resolution and informed decision-making. Program Operations and Continuous Improvement • Contribute to the development and implementation of project management processes, tools, templates, metrics, and best practices. • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project execution, visibility, and operational efficiency. • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across project teams and stakeholders. • Coordinate project-related knowledge sharing, training activities, and process adoption efforts. • Promote consistent project management practices across teams and programs. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: • Technical background in the semiconductor industry with engineering and/or program management experience. • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple workstreams while meeting project timelines across cross-functional teams. • Ability to collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams across different time zones. • Experience managing multiple priorities and concurrent projects in a dynamic environment. • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems. • Experience with AI tools and collaboration/project management platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office applications. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information clearly to diverse audiences. • Experience working in Agile development environments; Agile certification is a plus.
