Position Overview:
We have open positions for Senior Field Applications Engineers. The individual/s in this role will provide pre and post sales technical guidance and support for customers of Efinix FPGAs. These are field focused positions helping the customer architect solutions using Efinix technology and working with the customer’s engineering resources to resolve issues and bring product seamlessly to market. As a highly technical extension of the sales organization, these individuals will develop training material and reference applications to effectively demonstrate the capabilities of Efinix FPGAs. They will propose responses to customers RFI/RFQ and consult on the selection of appropriate Efinix products. They will be an advocate for the customer within Efinix and will be a channel for feeding back customer requirements to assist in new product definition.
Responsibilities
• Provide the customer with pre and post sales technical support.
• Assist the sales team in generation and presentation of training material.
• Review customer architectures, schematics and layouts.
• Provide Efinix with feedback on customer requirements.
• Consult on component selection and assist customers with adoption of Efinix technology.
• Provide on-site technical resolution of customer issues.
• Advocate for the customer within Efinix and provide an effective conduit for Efinix factory resources in issue resolution.
• Assist Efinix outbound campaigns with technical content for tradeshows and events.
Required Skills:
• Demonstrated experience in FPGA system design, FPGA architectures and devices, embedded processors and video/vision systems
• Strong track record of Verilog, VHDL design, FPGA tool flows, IP creation and system debug.
• Experience with embedded processor systems, C/C++ programming, hardware/software architectural partitioning and SoC architectures.
• Understanding of Artificial Intelligence architectures and common tool flows as they pertain to embedded implementations.
• Deep understanding of diverse interface protocols (PCIe, MIPI, SLVS-EC, Ethernet, LPDDR4)
• Strong problem solving and outstanding communication skills.
Education:
Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
Compensation:
Competitive base salary and performance-based incentives. Base salary: $140k - $170k + bonus

Stock options are a part of the compensation package of this role.
