Note: All job offers are contingent upon Human Resources final approval Job Description: This recruitment will be used to fill up to three part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Undergraduate Learning Assistant (ULA) positions for the School of Nuclear Science & Engineering (NSE) at Oregon State University (OSU). This position recruitment is for NSE 234, Fall 2026. This position performs a variety of duties in support of NSE course instruction. Responsibilities may include working with the instructor to assist with classroom and lab activities, holding office hours, and helping with grading. These duties will vary depending on the specific course requirements. Position Duties • Assist with in-class activities and/or labs • Tutor students during regular office hours and/or in the classroom • Grade homework, quizzes and/or exams under instructor guidance • May assist with managing course materials on Canvas • Attend weekly meetings with the instructor of record Transferable Skill Development OSU is committed to ensuring students are prepared for success after graduation through intentional skill development as student employees. Required • Undergraduate Engineering Major • GPA greater than 3.25 • Completion of course with a B or higher • Good communication skills • Students must complete FERPA training prior to starting position.
