Job Description: ASU Learning Enterprise is seeking an experienced Marketing Director dedicated to expanding access to higher education through our Universal Pathways portfolio. The portfolio consists of three learning offerings, Universal Learner Courses, Earned Admission and Accelerate ASU. At ASU, we believe that everyone deserves access to a high-quality education. In this role, you will drive strategic growth for these innovative offerings, with a focus on new learner acquisition, retention and expansion across B2C, B2B and B2B2C channels. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic thinking with hands-on execution, partnering closely with other team members in product and marketing to hit aggressive revenue growth targets. This role is based at ASU’s Tempe campus. A fingerprint background check is a mandatory step in the hiring process. Position Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience Essential Duties: Refine Product Positioning Across Portfolio: • You will own product marketing strategy for the Universal Pathways portfolio of offerings, including key messages, buyer personas, use cases, and learner journey development. • You will be the go-to expert for competitive analysis and product positioning, defining growth markets and ensuring that Universal Learner Courses, Earned Admission and Accelerate ASU are seen as the best options in key market segments. • You will be a master of K-12 marketing, understanding the nuances of domestic and global markets and translating that into high-performance marketing strategies that will fuel 2X growth of the portfolio year over year. Partner on Demand Generation and ABM Strategies: • You will develop go-to-market strategies targeting the families of high school learners as well as their schools and school districts, with key value propositions for each. • You will partner with the demand generation and communication functions to execute campaigns designed to hit aggressive growth targets. • You will use data analytics to identify growth opportunities and potential accounts, driving expansion of learners and learning offering access. Lead + Collaborate Across the Enterprise: • You will work closely with business development and product teams to scale Accelerate ASU in key markets across Arizona, the U.S. and the world. • You will ensure the business development teams have the information and collateral that they need to scale pipeline and revenue, capturing market feedback to inform future growth strategies. • You will build strong relationships with key marketing partners across ASU to ensure we present a unified ASU message to the market. • You will partner with other marketing directors and portfolio leads, including Career and Professional Learning and Emerging Learning Solutions, to position integrated solutions to the market when relevant. • You will be effective working in a highly matrixed environment and lead with clarity, communication and purpose. • You will use data to back up your recommendations and support the portfolio with a can-do attitude, taking on additional marketing initiatives as required. Other duties as assigned. Desired Qualifications: We are looking for a proven leader who has experience developing and executing growth marketing, ABM and channel strategies. You understand how to reach and persuade high school learners and their parents, and ideally have marketed to schools and districts as well. You know the K-12 regulatory landscape, including FERPA and student-data privacy, and you build campaigns that stay compliant without losing their edge. You are comfortable leveraging data analytics to drive growth and identify key accounts, and have a track record of creating personalized marketing collateral and targeted campaigns for specific accounts. You have experience leading cross-functional teams in a growth-oriented and account-focused environment. • Embracing Innovation: You see the value in utilizing AI technologies to enhance productivity and drive more efficient and innovative marketing strategies. You have a demonstrated ability to innovate and execute on ideas quickly, while focusing on learner value and key performance metrics. • Strong Communicator: Experience, comfort and ease communicating strategic marketing plans and programs to executive audiences. • Powerful Storyteller: You are well versed in multi-channel campaigns and media relations with experience uncovering stories and turning them into inspiring and impactful communications that engage various audiences. • Values-aligned leader: Your values are aligned with LE’s and you have demonstrated success leading across functions to launch go to market strategies, balancing growth goals with high-scale + low cost needs. Working Environment: • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work. • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds. • May be required to perform tasks in the field within and/or across University campuses.
