The Sulzbach-Rosenberg branch of the Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety and Energy Technology Fraunhofer UMSICHT develops process engineering solutions in the field of carbon conversion (next-generation biofuels, recycling technologies for plastics and composite materials, biochar), low-emission combustion systems as well as the provision and storage of process heat. With a focus on process engineering and plant construction, it supports clients from the project idea through pilot plants and demonstrators to market launch.
