Junior Embedded Linux Engineer

Junior Embedded Linux Engineer Location: Penang, Malaysia We are looking for a Junior Embedded Linux Engineer to join our Intelligent Solutions Group. This role is ideal for junior engineers and fresh graduates who are passionate about embedded systems, Linux, and open-source technologies. You will work on Embedded Linux software, U-Boot, RISC-V platforms, and automated test frameworks while collaborating with experienced engineers to develop and validate embedded solutions. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain software for Embedded Linux platforms. • Support development and integration on RISC-V platforms. • Develop, maintain, and improve software testing infrastructure and automated test environments. • Perform software integration, system validation, and regression testing. • Troubleshoot and debug software issues on embedded hardware. • Collaborate with hardware and software engineers throughout the development lifecycle. Requirements: • Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent. • Basic knowledge of Embedded Linux or Linux operating systems. • Programming experience in C and scripting (Python, Bash). • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team. • Eagerness to learn embedded software development and open-source technologies. Preferred Qualifications: Experience or familiarity with the following is an advantage: • Git version control. • Linux command-line usage.
