You AreYou have spent years in the semiconductor manufacturing space and you understand that selling software into a fab is not about features, it is about understanding what breaks when yield drops or when a process step drifts. You know how to walk a factory floor, ask the right questions, and translate what you hear into a solution that actually solves the problem, not just checks a box.You are comfortable talking to a process engineer about defect detection one hour and sitting with a VP of Operations the next, shifting your language but never losing the thread of what matters to them. You do not wait for perfect alignment to move a deal forward. You map the organization, figure out who cares about what, and build relationships that last beyond the contract signature.Deals energize you, especially the complex ones where you need to coordinate field engineers, navigate procurement, and negotiate terms that work for both sides. You think in pipeline, not one-offs. At Synopsys, you will sell manufacturing solutions that directly impact how the world's leading semiconductor companies run their fabs. What You'll Be Doing • Develop and grow your assigned territory in Taiwan by prospecting semiconductor manufacturers and identifying companies with real needs for factory automation and process control solutions • Qualify accounts by understanding customer manufacturing challenges, decision-making structures, and buying processes, not just surface-level interest • Build relationships across customer organizations, from process engineers to operations leaders, to map infrastructure, uncover key projects, and identify decision makers • Formulate and propose solutions using Synopsys manufacturing software and services that address specific customer pain points around yield, quality, and process control • Manage the full sales cycle from first contact through negotiation, close, and deployment, working closely with field technical teams to drive adoption and customer satisfaction • Maintain an accurate forecast and a healthy pipeline by tracking opportunities, following up on leads, and managing your existing customer base with discipline • Collaborate with Business Unit Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering teams to refine product positioning and act as the voice of the customer back into SynopsysThe Impact You Will Have • Drive revenue growth in Taiwan's semiconductor manufacturing sector by landing new logos and expanding existing accounts • Help customers solve real manufacturing problems, improving yield, reducing defects, and optimizing factory operations through Synopsys solutions • Build long-term strategic relationships that position Synopsys as a trusted partner, not just a vendor • Influence product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies by surfacing customer needs and market trends directly to product and engineering teams • Accelerate customer time-to-value by coordinating smooth deployments and ensuring technical teams are aligned from day one • Strengthen Synopsys' position in the manufacturing solutions market by winning competitive deals and expanding our footprint in critical accounts • Create repeatable sales plays and best practices that can be leveraged across the broader sales organization What You'll Need • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field • 5+ years of sales experience in semiconductor manufacturing, EDA, or factory automation, with a proven track record of developing new business and closing complex deals • Deep understanding of semiconductor chip design and manufacturing processes, including how process control and factory automation systems impact yield and quality • Experience selling into or working with Factory Automation Systems and Process Control solutions in the semiconductor or equipment industry • Ability to structure and negotiate complex deals involving multiple stakeholders, long sales cycles, and technical evaluations • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, for building presentations and proposals that communicate value clearly • Fluency in Mandarin and English to engage effectively with customers and internal teams Who You Are • You can walk into a meeting with a fab manager and within 20 minutes understand their top three operational headaches and which one keeps them up at night • You are organized enough to manage a territory with 10+ active opportunities at different stages without dropping the ball or missing a follow-up • You push back when a deal does not make sense or when a customer's expectations are misaligned, because you care about long-term relationships more than short-term wins • You are comfortable with ambiguity and can build a strategy even when you do not have all the information, asking smart questions and adapting as you learn • You treat your pipeline like a product, constantly refining it, cutting what is not real, and investing time where it will actually move the needle • You collaborate naturally with technical teams, translating customer needs into clear requirements and bringing engineers into the conversation at the right time The Team You'll Be Part OfYour recruiter will share more about the team structure and mission during the interview process.
