Embedded Software Engineer

Embedded Software Engineer Would you like to work at the cutting edge of Embedded Technology for a leader in the Embedded Safety and Security market? We are looking for the very best engineers to join our team at WITTENSTEIN high integrity systems. You will be part of our group of experts working to advance our portfolio of embedded software products including our safety critical real time operating system SAFERTOS®. You will be developing projects for our customers, ranging from small dynamic start-ups to some of the world’s most prestigious global technology companies. Expected start date: ASAP • Overview • Embedded Software Engineer Personal qualities are very important to us. We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer who can: • Use their initiative and work independently or in a small team; • Take responsibility for delivering specific tasks & projects; • Demonstrate the ability to appreciate the customer’s viewpoint and to nurture relationships; • Possess excellent communication skills; • Reply clearly and accurately to all levels of international customer enquiries; • Strive to achieve the highest possible quality; • Show integrity (it’s not just our products that are high integrity, but our personnel as well); • Work at our Bristol office in the UK and travel when required; • Provide evidence of a permanent Right to Work in the UK. Minimum Education Standard • Degree in an Engineering/Science/Maths subject Required Experience and Expertise • Real Time Operating Systems, ideally in FreeRTOS, OPENRTOS®, SAFERTOS® and/or Linux; • C and assembler; • Embedded Systems Design. Highly Desirable Additional Skills and Experience • ARM, MIPS and Power Architectures; • Experience of using Real Time Operating Systems, ideally FreeRTOS or SAFERTOS® • Low level embedded engineering experience – ie working at processor level – Cortex M3, M4, A7 • Safety Software Development to standards: IEC 61508, DO 178B/C, ISO26262, IEC 61508, IEC 62304 • Networking – TCP, UDP • Embedded software security • Multicore devices How To Apply Please email your CV, with a covering letter explaining your interest in the role, to hr@highintegritysystems.com.
