This is the Invention Age - and this is where you come in. General Summary: As a member of WIFI System team, you will participate in Wi-Fi system design, development, and validation/integration. The engineering intern will have the opportunity to: • Optimize Tx/Rx WiFi performance in system level • Implement RF calibration algorithm • Create automation methodology to enhance product development efficiency. • Develop debug feature for performance optimization Minimum Qualifications:​ • Currently enrolled in bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with communication background. Requirement: Academic project experience in at least one or more of the following areas: • Communication theory, signal processing, RF System, Microwave engineering, signal estimation and detection, automatic gain control, RF impairment estimation and correction, channel estimation, RF interfaces and digital mitigation of RF distortion, etc. • Experience with wireless standards (WiFi/BT/5G/LTE/UMTS) • Knowledge and/or experience in MIMO, OFDM, CDMA • PHY/MAC layer systems design for 5G (sub-6 and mmW), spectrum sharing, and next generation WiFi • Experience in performance analysis and system level simulation • Ability to program effectively in C/C++, Python and/or Matlab. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Hands on experience with the lab testing & characterization is a plus Applicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
