Assistant Engineer – Failure Analysis Lab (FA Lab, QA)

YOUR ROLE • Perform analysis work in one or more areas, based on assignment and training: Electrical Analysis using techniques such as Emission Microscopy, OBIRCH, SEI, PVC, Liquid Crystal, Circuit Modification, and SRP Reliability Analysis using Parametric Analyzers and techniques such as transistor characterization and oxide integrity Physical Analysis such as delayering, cross-sectioning, FIB, sample preparation for further analysis, including TEM preparation when required, and TEM operation for imaging and EDX elemental analysis • Support laboratory request procedures, tool usage control, and quality system implementation. • Assist Engineers in setting up site laboratory procedures for newly introduced processes. • Support urgent requests from the manufacturing line, T84, and EWS. • Comply with Quality System, EHS, 5S, and Lean requirements. • Support operational analysis activities and training when required. • Communicate effectively with engineers, stakeholders, and shift counterparts to ensure timely completion and smooth handover. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES • Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Device Physics, Material Science, Physics, or a related field. • 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred. • Hands-on experience with delayering, cross-section, FIB, TEM, and EDX is an advantage. • Knowledge of failure analysis, microelectronics, and silicon processing. • Able to work independently in a manufacturing environment with minimal supervision. • Good communication skills and a strong team player. • Self-directed, proactive, and willing to learn. • Able to perform shift work and support overtime when required.
