SR.STAFF FIRMWARE APPS ENGINEER THE ROLE: AMD is looking for a highly experienced Senior Staff Firmware Development Apps Engineer to join the Embedded x86 Applications Engineering organization. This role serves as the senior technical bridge between customers, FAEs, Product Management, Program Management, Firmware Engineering, BIOS Engineering, Silicon Engineering, Platform Engineering, Validation, QA, and Customer Support teams. The Firmware Apps Engineer will provide technical leadership across customer engagements involving firmware architecture, firmware customization, platform enablement, issue triage, root-cause analysis, firmware debugging, engineering escalations, feature requests, and production readiness. The role requires deep firmware development expertise, strong customer-facing communication skills, and the ability to drive complex technical issues across globally distributed engineering organizations. The successful candidate will act as the senior firmware subject matter expert for AMD Embedded x86 customers while helping accelerate customer adoption, improve product quality, and reduce issue resolution cycle times.
