We are looking to hire a Senior LLVM Compiler Engineer for an exciting role developing compilers for our world-leading GPUs. We craft outstanding compilers that realize the potential of NVIDIA GPU hardware across a growing range of computational workloads, including next-generation graphics, deep learning, scientific computing, and self-driving cars. Our compiler organization makes its mark on every GPU and SoC product that NVIDIA builds. Would you like to be part of this best-in-class organization?
What you’ll be doing:
• Be part of NVIDIA’s retargetable GPU compiler backend team.
• Contribute compiler optimizations to deliver best-in-class, robust, and supportable compilers and tools.
• Work on challenging problems in register allocation, instruction scheduling, synchronization, and loop optimization.
• Develop innovative solutions to optimize workloads in deep learning, ray tracing, and HPC by working with industry experts in each field.
• Solve unique problems encountered when compiling for massively parallel GPU architectures.
• Help influence and develop new GPU architectures.
• Explore and adopt modern AI to improve compiler productivity.
What we need to see:
• B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in compiler design, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong background in program analysis and high-level optimizations.
• Excellent C and C++ programming skills.
• Hands-on experience with compiler infrastructures such as LLVM or GCC.
• Good understanding of processor architecture.
• Experience working in a global team.
• Self-motivation and the ability to get things done.
• Good communication skills and the ability to influence others.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
• Master’s degree or PhD, with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex optimization problems.
• Experience in instruction scheduling or register allocation.
• Experience developing applications using CUDA, DirectX, OpenGL, or Vulkan.
NVIDIA is widely considered one of the technology world’s most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working for us. If you are creative and autonomous, we want to hear from you.
