Sales assistant, Aalto University Shop

Aalto University is recruiting its own bachelor’s and master’s degree students to join the student employees team at Communications Services. Student employees work as student ambassadors in the university through a variety of roles, such as in student marketing, leading campus tours, representing Aalto at events and working with retail and branded merchandise. We are currently looking for 4-6 students interested in a shop-based role, working as sales assistants and helping provide a welcoming, high-quality customer experience at the Aalto University Shop. Sales Assistant to Aalto University Shop in Otaniemi, Espoo We are looking for an energetic and outgoing person to join our shop team and help develop our retail culture and experience. You will be part of a team that serves and sells to both external and internal customers in our store. As a Sales Assistant at the Aalto University Shop, you will: • Provide excellent customer service and experience in store, by email and phone • Assist customers in finding what they need • Ensure store aesthetics and visual merchandising are up to standard • Restock the store • Handle store deliveries • Process web shop orders • Represent Aalto University • Deliver welcoming services and help visitors find what they need What’s in it for you? In order to succeed, we expect that you are or have: • Proactive attitude towards work, and a get-it-done mindset • Passionate about customer service • Have general knowledge and an interest in sales • Good people skills and the ability to work as part of a team as well as alone • Ability to manage time and handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Good communication skills • Good English and Finnish language skills • You are currently a bachelor's or master's degree student at Aalto University This is a part-time, fixed term contract term until 31.12.2027. Working hours: 30-60 hours a month.
