Qualcomm's XR Architecture Team is seeking a systems architect who will work on driving the next generation technologies and architectures, enabling the next generation of Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Smart Glasses and Wearable AI SOCs. The successful candidate may be responsible for: • Working closely with product management and OEM partners to identify, understand and document use cases and implementations of VR, AR and wearable AI related technologies • Using these use case definitions to drive overall specification of SOCs targeting AR, VR and wearable products • Driving system level on-target profiling to inform forward architecture definition • System level use case modeling to validate power and performance KPIs and optimize architecture definition • Defining and executing HW-SW partitioning analyses • Defining and executing HW-SW feature analysis to optimize for power and performance • Collaborating with technology experts to drive strategic direction in cross-functional AR/VR/Wearable AI related areas • Developing forward-looking architecture features to affect the overall roadmap of SOCs Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. *Works in the lab, can use hazardous chemicals (e.g., glue, machinery). Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits: $179,000.00 - $268,400.00 The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
