Note: All job offers are contingent upon Human Resources final approval Job Description: This recruitment will be used to fill multiple part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Undergraduate Grader positions for the School of Chemical, Biological, and Environmental Engineering (CBEE) at Oregon State University (OSU). This position assists CBEE faculty with grading homework, studio work, and test papers to a rubric, and may include in-class assistance. Assignment may vary from 3-20 hours per week, depending on the workload and assignment. Position Duties: • 95%: Grading via a grading rubric. • 5%: in-class support as needed. Required Qualifications: • Engineering undergraduate major • Sophomore or above • Successful completion of the course they are supporting with a B or higher • Overall GPA greater than 2.9/4.0 • Knowledge of Canvas • Strong interpersonal skills and interacting with people from diverse backgrounds • Attention to detail and organization • Demonstrable ability to work independently and in a team environmentAdditional Required Qualifications: • This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 2 years. • Students must complete FERPA training prior to beginning workPreferred Qualifications: • Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Bioengineering major • Junior or above • Successful completion of the course they are supporting with a B+ or higher • Overall GPA greater than 3.0/Pre-core GPA greater than 3.2 • Comfortable leading sections of a class with 25-30 students each • Team player Working Conditions/Schedule: • Work may be performed in classrooms, labs, or other office locations. • Must be able to work between 5 – 20 hours per week.
