FPGA Field Application Engineer - San Jose, CA About the job GOWIN Semiconductor is an international manufacturer of programmable devices including traditional and hybrid FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) and configurable ASSPs. We are seeking a Field Application Engineer to join the Americas Sales team who will be responsible for providing technical knowledge on programmable device applications over a dynamic range of customer projects. This position is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team with ample opportunity to contribute, learn, and grow within multiple market segments. The candidate is ideally located in San Jose, CA. Responsibilities • Manage and Drive the GOWIN technical sales activities in the assigned territory to meet the sales objectives set by direct management • Manage and motivate GOWIN representatives and distributors to achieve the required goals • Build positive business relationships at all levels in the assigned accounts and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction • Provide technical support to customers in their selection and use of GOWIN development tools, semiconductors, and IP products to ensure success • Monitor and present detailed feedback from customers on potential new device features, reference designs, IP, and software for next-generation products • Demonstrate the use of GOWIN technologies and competitive advantages to secure design wins • Guide customers through their design process from idea to manufacturing • Create and deliver technical sales presentations and provide creative, thorough, and practical problem resolutions • Participate in the creation of GOWIN sales collateral • Effectively position products against the competition • Regularly update GOWIN management and factory experts on the needs of the customer base • Discuss business opportunities at the block diagram level, qualify the business potential, and drive the available technical resources to win the designs • Participate in Annual and Quarterly Sales Planning defining goals, strategies, tactics, and actions to achieve the expected results Qualifications • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent • 1+ years of technical sales experience • 3+ years of industry experience with FPGA, MCU, and SoC based products and solutions • Fundamental experience with EDA tools for FPGA, ASIC, and embedded processor designs • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills, and the ability to work with multiple groups • 10-20% travel to various customer sites Interested parties please send full resume with expected salary to scott@gowinsemi.com
