R&D Process Integration Engineer Platform Team What you will do Process Integration: Work on Front End of Line (FEOL) and Middle of Line (MOL) modules for GAA technology nodes. A deep understanding of epitaxial and gate module is desired. Knowledge of legacy nodes (including Finfet, planer nodes) is a bonus. Partner with process modules (lithography, etch, deposition, CMP, metrology, etc.) to ensure module robustness and seamless integration. Define, discuss and implement process splits in collaboration with unit module, device & TCAD team. Execute them with requested cycle time seamlessly to meet goals. Analyze interactions between FEOL modules and guide development using inline, electrical and characterization data. Prepare technical reports and present integration status, risks, and mitigation plans to team-leaders and stakeholders. Daily follow-up of the lots in progress, flow readiness, with occasional support outside regular working hours for priority lots, taking responsibility for issue resolution, reporting and escalations. Technology Transfer: Strengthening the connection between R&D and the semiconductor industry. Leverage imec’s deep technical expertise to collaborate with customers and set-up established technology node processes at customer sites. Module Robustness & Scalability: Apply best practices to test process windows and margins. Optimize module settings for compatibility and tolerance. Integrate industry-standard best-known methods (BKM) to enhance performance and reliability across modules and integrated flows. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with imec’s advanced research device teams. Share updates and insights with peers, customers, and management. Communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently to team-leaders, cross department colleagues & external customers. Occasional on-site technical discussions at customer location may be required. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in FEOL or MOL Process integration (TD) in a high-volume manufacturing Fab. Knowledge of advanced technology nodes, including gate/channel engineering, epitaxial S/D, RMG, contact formation & Damascene. Strong ability to analyze and interpret electrical data for transistors, SRAM, and related devices, drawing sound conclusions from limited datasets. Solid understanding of process integration and its influence on electrical performance, yield, and device reliability. Highly organized and proactive problem solver with excellent cross-functional communication skills, integrity, and critical thinking; able to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
