System Solutions FPGA Engineer Location: Penang, Malaysia Responsibilities: • Design and develop RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog) for FPGA-based systems. • Integrate and validate RISC-V cores and SoC IP components (e.g., interconnects, peripherals, memory controllers). • Perform SoC-level integration including bus architectures such as AXI/AHB/APB. • Develop and execute simulation testbenches for functional verification. • Perform FPGA synthesis, implementation, and timing closure. • Debug system-level issues using simulation tools and on-board validation. • Collaborate with software/firmware teams for bring-up and validation. • Optimize design for performance, power, and area constraints. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. • 5+ years (or specify level) of experience in FPGA/RTL design. • Strong proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog. • Experience with RISC-V CPU architecture and ecosystem. • Hands-on experience in SoC IP integration. • Familiarity with standard bus protocols: AXI, AHB, APB. • Experience with FPGA tools (e.g., Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, or Efinix tools). • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. • Experience with open-source RISC-V cores (e.g., Rocket, VexRiscv, CVA6). • Knowledge of embedded Linux bring-up or boot flow (U-Boot, kernel). • Familiarity with verification methodologies (UVM is a plus). • Experience with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, SD/eMMC). • Understanding of hardware/software co-design.
