Characterization Engineer

Characterization Engineer Location: Penang, Malaysia Responsibilities: • Work with Design engineering team to define the test characterization methodology and equipment. • Work with Application to generate the necessary user collaterals from the characterization results. • Develop the necessary characterization designs to ensure all features within the device are being characterized. • Develop characterization board which meeting all the requirements, e.g., IOs, interface traces, on board resources etc. • Familiar and hands on testing, characterization, laboratory equipment operation and device qualification. • Prepare characterization report for design, engineering and qualification samples. • Drive characterization initiatives for continuous improvement on existing product. • Provide production support for wafer/package unit issue, customer FAR’s and RMA support. • Support process, devices and design engineering teams in all product and test chip activities. • Perform tasks needed by company which adhere to company policy to ensure company’s business operation. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics) or equivalent. • 1-5 years of working experience in the related field. • Experience in FPGA / Test EDA software. • Statistical methods and tools for data analysis. • DFT features knowledge, e.g., ATPG, memory BIST, JTAG etc. • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skill in English. • Ability to work in a fast-paced global team environment. • Familiarity with FPGA architecture and different interface IPs, e.g., DDR, PCIe is a plus. • Familiar and know-how on laboratory equipment operation, e.g., oscilloscope, function generator etc. • Characterization board development is a plus. • Knowledge in tool and design skill is a plus.
