SW Manager

Atmosic Technologies is looking for software managers ready to tackle the challenges of a growing company with a rapidly expanding customer base. Job title and responsibilities commensurate with experience. Responsibilities: • Project management: Engage with marketing and sales teams to identify and prioritize SW deliverables on a consensus timeline Facilitate task estimation and balance commitments with capabilities of the team Help stay on track on commitments while controlling technical debt (bug scrubbing, scrum, be creative!) • Release management: Be a gatekeeper for SW quality and documentation standards Coordinate release testing and verification with various teams Deliver content via the company portal and open source ecosystems • Personnel management: Establish and grow a group of SW engineering direct reports Work with recruiters and various job listing sites to identify and screen SW candidates for recruitment • Product development Design and deliver customer solutions based on Bluetooth Work closely with customers and product marketing/management Create specifications from high-level requirements Execute full product development cycle from preliminary prototype through testing, verification, and customer deployment Program efficient and testable code Develop software verification strategy and quality assurance procedures Document and maintain software functionality Requirements: • A minimum of 5 years experience with teams of 10+ engineers • Strong technical background with hands-on coding experience in the recent past • Proficiency with embedded software development using C, C++, Java, or other programming languages • Good understanding of microcontrollers, real-time operating systems and IP Networking • Strong analytical skills • Self-driven with a can-do attitude • Desire to work in a fast paced startup environment Desired Experience: • Embedded/IoT software development • Bluetooth Low Energy Locations • Campbell (Silicon Valley), California • Irvine, California • Boston, Massachusetts
